Optometry board speeds up vote on controversial rule

Interesting blog post about the Optometry board:

Conflicts of interest don’t seem to bother the state Board of Optometry.

The board, which oversees the optometrists who conduct your eye exams, is moving forward with some controversial glaucoma regulations even though they were (1) written by a consultant with a glaring conflict of interest and (2) a high-ranking state official specifically asked the board to reconsider the regulations because of that conflict.
